#3 - Archangel Chamuel in a leaf

Released in Horta, Faial, Azores

"When you’ve problems, which relate to matters of the heart, then Archangel Chamuel is the angel you call upon in your hour of need. Archangel Chamuel works alongside you and helps your heart to heal. If you’ve been hurt, and you’re suffering from a broken heart, then by calling upon Archangel Chamuel and asking him for assistance you'll find the divine energy to help you mend your broken heart.

Archangel Chamuel’s name means “He who seeks God”. There are many who claim Archangel Chamuel was the angel who helped Jesus in Gethsemane (Luke 22:43), however I haven’t been able to find Archangel Chamuel by name in the bibles I’ve checked. Most bibles refer to an angel appearing before Jesus." - Jill Harrison

#0 - Michael Archangel in Street Art

Painted on a door in Funchal, Madeira Island, Portugal

"There are nine orders of angels, to wit: angels, archangels, virtues, powers, principalities, dominions, thrones, cherubim, and seraphim."   - Pope Gregory The Great

Angels walk among us...

The word 'angel' means messenger in Hebrew and Greek. Angels are defined in the Catholic Encyclopedia as any "any agent God sends forth to execute his purposes" and to carry "on his government of the world."

I believe they have an important role as messengers of hope - and their images are inspiring - that's why I decided to share here my collection of angels.

Some were found in public art, sculptures, street art - others were just created and released to perpetuate the iconography - and to be messengers of hope to those who might find them.
